Continuous Cruisers

Lifestyle, London

HERE TODAY, GONE TOMORROW

When people ask me what it’s like to live on a boat I say, “It’s different.” “What’s so different about it?” And since they ask I sum up the long, boring, explanatory list about electricity, water, internet, the toilet-situation and by this they always seem to regret even asking. But when we come to the part about being continuous cruisers they seem light up again. You see, this is the best part, the moving around part. Every 7th to 14th day we have to move on, depending on where we have been moored, and that’s what makes life like a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re gonna get…

  1. Hi Mariexceline! How fantastic with a narrowboat enthusiast! Really hope you get to buy a boat soon. I’m sure you will. And if you like the holiday thing then I definitely think you should try the living on board thing. x

I would love to live on a boat (I think) but have only ever done the holiday thing. I follow narrowboat channels on YouTube and I dream about owning a boat. Who knows? Maybe one day!
