Trellick Tower

London, Uncategorized

We’ve moved again and this is our view. I’ve mentioned this story before, but I love it, so I’m going to tell it again. Trellick Tower was designed by the architect Ernö Goldfinger who also designed other buildings in London, amongst them 2 Willow Road. It is said that Goldfinger was a humourless man, with a nasty temperament. Both he and his designs were so hated that Ian Fleming, who wrote James Bond, named the villain Goldfinger. The Trellick Tower is 98 meters tall, with 32 storeys. It was built in 1972 and looks better in the dark.
