YOU’RE THE ONE WHO HAS TO LIVE IT…
And you actually have the right to do what you want, not what other people want you to do. Hm…I wish I’d though of that sooner ; ) The thing is that going your own way is easier said than done and sometimes it can be quite confusing when someone insists on what’s right for you. So here are a few quotes that may come in handy in those situations:
“You are not required to set yourself on fire to keep other people warm.”
“Don’t let a label someone else stamped on you become your reality.” – Skip Prichard
“If you don’t value your time, neither will others. Stop giving away your time and talents. Value what you know and start charging for it.” – Kim Garst
“Don’t let the people who didn’t see your value, cause you to forget how much you are truly worth.”
“If you aren’t being treated with love and respect, check your price tag. Maybe you’ve marked yourself down. It’s you who tells people what you’re worth. Get off the clearance rack and get behind the glass where they keep the valuables.”
“Don’t think about your errors or failures; otherwise, you’ll never do a thing.” – Bill Murray.
I’ve been thinking a lot about being good enough lately; a good enough friend, a good enough daughter, a good enough step-mother, a good enough girlfriend, a good enough employee, a good enough film-maker, a good enough person, but I’ve come to the conclusion that if it’s good enough for me then it’ll just have to be good enough.

ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK…
Seems like autumn came early to London this year. No summer lasts forever, but a summer dress lasts a little longer when you pair it with a warm knit. I’m really trying to enjoy this time when you can still warm your face in the sun, because I know that in about two months I’ll be wearing my military thermal pyjamas and I’ll chatter my teeth and I’ll google ‘how to stay warm,’ and I’ll get great ideas like, ‘How do I adopt a husky?’ Let’s see what kind of adventure this next season will bring. I’m ready to take a walk on the wild side ; )
QUOTE OF THE DAY
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking and don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart… you’ll know when you find it.” – Steve Jobs
It’s Friday! Time to make stories for Monday.
I find it hard to take in but it seems like this summer may have come to an end. This is when all the boaters start to stock up on wool, coal and wood… It’s time to prepare for our fourth winter on the boat… soon this red dress will be replaced by a survival suit… but not yet, not today and not tomorrow.
“Don’t forget to pretend to have your shit together for strangers on the internet today”
“All that matters is that you know who you are. Let other people keep on wondering.”
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE SWITCH THE SUN BACK ON?
Whilst we’re heating up the boat with the first log of the fall (Can someone please switch the sun back on?) I’m posting a photo taken three weeks ago and I take comfort in the fact that even though things are a bit grey and damp at the moment; blue skies will come again.
